The Woodlands Preparatory School, sold us what we believed to be a wonderful school. They're very good at selling, but nothing they promised was in fact real. They're good at selling gold, but in fact it's just a coal. The sports they offer don't eventuate. The science laboratory is non existent. There was no qualified IT reacher, to teach IT in the what would now be outdated computer room. Only continual management meetings with parents, as well as continual promises made that were never fulfilled. Frankly speaking, we've never experienced any private business or government department, as deceitful or dishonest as this school. This school has great potential, but not with current ownership in place. In our opinion, It should not be an accredited IB school. Definitely, we would not recommend this school, until the current ownership changes.

I feel like we were sold a lie during our pre-enrollment visit. While our child enjoyed their stay at WPS and made many friends, the education received was clearly deficient. Resources were lacking and extra-curricular opportunities were disappointing to non-existent. In short, the entire experience did not compensate for the annual tuition fee.

The Woodlands Preparatory School has been set up by the owner to make money and buy his only children an IB education, at the expense of the well being of students. Honestly, we already wanted to leave last year. However, the introduction of Mrs Velez, her vision, motivation and dedication made us change our decision. The school's organizational structure lacks an appropriate Board, which the owner of the school refuses to install. The owner has no educational background too. Over the past semester besides the headmaster Mrs Velez, multiple other have been fired over minor disagreements only. Also, the bigger multinational companies that historically brought the students to the school are no longer recommending the school. It's fair to say that, we regret this and will leave at the end of the school year, as many other parents will do. If you're looking for an international school for your child or children, I really recommend you to look at other schools.

We've been expats for over six years and The Woodlands Preparatory School, is the worst school our two children have ever attended. To the extent that, we've already moved one of them to another school by half of the year, while the other movement will take place at the end of the school year. In the last five years, more than ten principals have gone through the school. The owner has no idea how to run a school and is not open to the recommendations, that the education experts provides. We also wonder how IB continues to certify this school. It damages the reputation of the institution, which is very important for foreigners like us, to maintain the same level of curriculum in each country. This year, several children left the school for the same reason.
