I have had the privilege to attending OLQP from pre-K to 8th grade, it's truly a great school. The teachers and staff fostered my curiosity to learn by creating a fun learning environment. The schools strong academics helped me to accomplish my academic goals by starting me off on the right track. The teachers create innovative ways to learn from Rube Goldberg project to robotics teams. They are also invested in their student's goals and their learning.
I loved being a student at Our Lady Queen Of Peace Catholic School. I had the privilege of attending from preparatory to eighth grade. Also, the teachers and staff created a fun learning environment, that fostered my academic curiosity and instilled strong values in me.
This school is amazing! I had 5 kids here and I would really recommend it to anyone! They feel like a family!!! Everyone's very warm and friendly! The older children are sweet with the younger ones, even those of the eighth year help preschoolers during the weekly mass.
We have five children who were all here at Our Lady Queen Of Peace Catholic School, from kindergarten to eighth grade. We've been parents here for 23 years as well. I can say that our children have built an amazing academic foundation here. But what we love most about this school, is the faith it has nurtured in our children. Because of the teachers and the values they instill in their students, our children willingly served as the hands of Christ in their community. I appreciate the kindness and manners that have been developed in my children. There's daily prayer here too. In fact, the school day begins with each student and teacher reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, the Pledge to Texas and a prayer. We don't need a once a year meet you at the pole prayer event because we pray every morning for the intentions of the world, the nation, our community and our own families While in here, my children competed in both academics and athletics competitions. Academically, my own children placed number one student in math and also in Number Sense for all private school students in Texas, for several years. We've had many students do this at this school. They've also won the Galveston and Houston All Catholic School basketball championships and in second place on football. My own children have done very well at high school after leaving here. One of them was valedictorian at her public high school. The four who've already graduated, were in the top 3% of their high schools. Two of them, are now doctors. And the other one is studying engineering at Texas A&M University. The other is studying biology, at University of Texas at Austin. And the youngest is still in high school. This is my first year as principal here. I can tell you that, 98% to 99% of our graduates are taking pre-AP and AP courses in high school. We have an accelerated math program, that allows qualified students to take two years of high school math like Algebra 1 and Geometry here. Then, they start in freshman taking Algebra 2.
This school is amazing! Everyone's very caring and supportive! Top notch education for students! When they transfer to public school in the 9th grade, they are at the top of the class and in advanced classes because of their education at OLQP.
