The music, Spanish and theater program for elementary school students is very good here at Alcuin School. However, socially it's like Lord of the Flies with the ring leaders of the classroom, which is the children of major financial donors or teachers dominates the atmosphere of the social environment. This school lacks respect for the diversity of religions. The middle school administration and teachers lack training for talented students. There's a lot of apathy and ignorance here too. Trying to understand where students come from is not an educational philosophy in this school. For IB, the Plano schools are amazing. For primary schools, you should check out public or other private schools in the area. Westwood doesn't have campus beauty, but they're kind, loving and supportive. Other public districts here are amazing, like Allen ISD, Richardson schools and others. Girls are favored in this school and I'm writing from a feminist point of view. If I were you, I would look elsewhere.
