We are pleased with the positive environment that Corbett Preparatory School Of Ids, provide students and opportunities for growth. We find that the school focuses more on winning competitions and accolades, perhaps at the expense of daily learning. The quality of the work sent home can be better. It's often just a repetition of concepts that the kids mastered, to the point that they are just bored and find it worthless. Or if your kids don't get a job that's new, it's like they've never seen anything like it , a job that never introduced in the classroom. It seems that teachers might be more in tune, with what every single student needs and take time to teach the concept, instead of relying on computers to do most of the teaching. However, I will say that we had experience in another highly valued private school area and it was much worse. The environment and academic was just so. So we stay where we are because we love the environment of here and talk openly with teachers and administration, who are mostly receptive.
