There were so many opportunities for me to grow and expand my world here at Community Christian School. I was also very challenged academically, which paid off in college and even in my current job. I would rate my experience here 10/10, because I graduated feeling like I was leaving behind a family.
I attended Community Christian School from pre-school through twelfth grade. I can say without a doubt that I wouldn't be who I am today without the experiences, community, teaching and hardships that I was able to experience throughout my time here. I'm extremely grateful that my parents decided to enroll me here from the very beginning. And even if I had a choice to go somewhere else, I knew I belong here. This school is full of godly, loving teachers, and boasts a curriculum that is rigorous, personal as well as growing more diverse each year. In addition to the academics, this school provides intentional spiritual formation through biblical studies and introduction to development of leadership skills. The Leadership and Senior Leaders Programs, are two of the things that make this school very unique. Through learning and practicing leadership principles in the context of the outdoors, serving their community in various ways and mastering basic survival skills, the students are equipped to lead others and grow not just to survive, in the real world. Also, all of these strengthens bonds between peers, gives older students the opportunity to mentor younger students and creates a sense of community within the high school. The Senior Leader Program, goes one step further and gives emerging young leaders the opportunity to test themselves, develop their leadership skills and take on greater responsibilities within the leadership program and within the school environment as well. All that being said, this school is not for everyone. It is unlikely that a student will enjoy their time here, if they are not willing to put in the effort needed to grow and to have a positive mental attitude while doing so. However, any student who remains open to challenges and development, who meets all obstacles knowing that their peers are at their side and God is with them going through the same thing, will surely reap the abundant rewards that the school has to offer. I wouldn't give up the experience I had in my years here for anything and I'm proud that I can still call it a home.
I taught at Community Christian School and sent my children here for a total of eleven years. My husband and I agree that this is the best educational preparation for all of our sons. Elementary education is top-notch, with a play-based nursery school and kindergarten. Some of my boys learned to read in kindergarten through exploration. However, my first two weren't fluent readers until first grade. The school allows new readers to be grouped by ability. All my boys were reading well by the end of the first grade. It wasn't until third grade that we saw some great improvement. By learning to read at their own pace, the boys have developed an incredible love of reading. My firstborn will read two to three books per day if given enough time. Also, my children had wonderful opportunities in elementary school- weekly music, computer, art lessons, and daily chapel time. Learning scriptures is a part of this chapel time. And it is done so well as the children learn sign language with the passages so they can imprint it in their memory. In addition, lunch outside is the main attraction, as it is usually combined with a second break. Field trips are educational and stimulating as well. The highlight for my boys was the fifth-grade space camp trip. In middle school, my kids really enjoyed getting involved in athletic programs and focusing on middle school service. Moreover, the middle school retreat is the culmination and only a small foretaste of the leadership program to come in high school. Overall, this has been a blessing to our family and I can't imagine choosing a different path for our boys' education. Wholeheartedly, I recommend this school to any family who wants the word to grow in their child's heart.

Such an amazing experience! Academics are intense but teachers are pretty caring! Not gonna lie, school is costly. You'll have to pay $12,000.

Nepotism is very evident in this school; if you don't work here, you won't receive any honors, and that's it.
