This school is terrible! Do not waste your time and money on this school. I feel like they lack the resources to cater to the educational needs of the students. They constantly ask for donations and money. I really feel like they're all about money and not about the children's needs.
We've been with Seffner Christian Academy for over thirteen years. I think it's because of the leadership and staff that it's an above-average school. Also, the parents were very involved and that helps to make it more of a family environment. In addition, please understand that the school is not full of perfect people, but that's life and I would say that the positives outweigh the negatives ten to one.
As a student who graduated from Seffner Christian Academy, I would not want others to be subjected to such a toxic environment. In terms of its academic program, the school's success rides on the backs of those students who once came with an incredible work ethic and determination to succeed. They do a bit to promote college readiness for students, who desire to go to a university that is not based on faith. The leadership is plagued by internal bias and favoritism. The teachers are often no better as well. Moreover, I have no problem with faith-based education as long as the school fosters a sense of individual learning and critical thinking. Students need to be told about the Bible and the rest of the world. They need to develop their minds and learn to make their own decisions. Unfortunately, this school is unable to facilitate this kind of growth. Instead, it finds itself in a religious echo chamber that does not prepare its students for future success. In addition, although this is slowly changing, the diversity of the student body is also very deficient. However, keep in mind that just because the school is increasing its diversity statistics, I can attest to the fact that this is not changing the way the school teaches or how its students interact with students from different backgrounds. It might be through economic, racial, ethnic, or religion. In addition, bullying is uncontrollable here. If you're not part of the group, then the administration does little to help you. Although my personal experience wasn't very bad, I was happy to leave. And honestly, if I were a father, I wouldn't send my son here. Overall, I would not recommend this school to anyone.
