We've struggled with this school because they have unrealistic standards. However, the standards have really motivated our kids to develop their potential.
My child was enrolled in Trinitas Christian School, for elementary. The positive aspects of this school were that, the curriculum is Bible-based and interesting. Students study the Bible and history chronologically, in tandem. As a result, students have a real understanding of how scripture fits into world history. It's really captivating. I also feel that the majority of school teachers really love and care for their children. However, the school is definitely dominated by male culture. Also, there is a general culture in schools that promotes elitism. As a family, we decided that this was not the environment we thought best for our child. In our opinion, Jesus sought out those who were different from him, rather than trying to isolate himself from those people. In terms of academics, the school does an excellent job in language arts, music and foreign languages though. However, our child was terribly ill-prepared for the harsh conditions they faced in math and science in their secondary years. Ultimately, parents have to decide what is the best for their child. Overall, no educational environment is perfect, including this school.
