When my son and I moved to Florida, I was concerned about the education system and I knew I wanted him in a Catholic school. Initially, I chose to look at St. Cecelia Interparochial School because it was a Blue Ribbon school, the same one my son came from. But, what caught me was meeting the teachers and staff when I toured and how welcoming they all were. Even though my son was only in fourth grade, I was excited about the IB Middle School program, that he would be part of starting in sixth grade. I was immediately saying yes to the IB philosophy and the attributes he would learn here. Now that he has been doing IB for three years, I'm convinced that he will carry this through his high school and college years. I can't believe it's already our last year here. What can I say is, I'm going to miss this school.
My children have always been in catholic schools and St. Cecelia Interparochial School is really the worst! The education is acceptable and the facilities are pleasant, but the staff and administration are very cold and robotic. If only my son agreed to change schools, we would have left by now.
We wanted to love St. Cecelia Interparochial School. However, the decision and implementation of management is very terrible. This is the reason why we must leave.
