This is a great school and truly a special place. It's been a fantastic place for my two daughters. Both of them are flourishing. Now, my eldest is in high school and doing very well.
Our kids are very different from each other; one excels academically and self-manages really well, while the other is a social butterfly who works really hard and who needs extra support because he's diagnosed sensory processing challenges. Despite the differences, they're both well served at this school because they focus on all aspects of children's development. They are really cared for and kept safe and challenged; thus, they are thriving.
Camellia Waldorf School is wonderful. My children are happy to go to school every day. They love what they learn and they love the learning process. We're so grateful that our daughters receive an education of head, heart, and hands, in such a supportive as well as inclusive community. With three growing and happy girls in this school, we couldn't recommend this school enough.
We enjoyed our first few years at Camellia and tried our hardest to make it work, but our daughter is academically behind and lacks confidence and enthusiasm for studying. It's also difficult to make friends because the class sizes are so small. Next year, we'll transfer to our local public school to help her catch up. As much as we enjoy the arts and music, it has not been a positive experience, and being well-rounded does not imply that we have learned nothing.
We can't say enough good things about Camellia Waldorf School. Our eldest daughter did two years here in preschool and another two years in kindergarten. I can say that she thrives here. She's a very quiet child and this school fits her. She can be outside and have a chance to explore the world as well. Our middle daughter started preschool this year and loved it as well. I love that she was outside all day, rather than being locked up in a classroom. They give them so much independence at this age but in such a safe and loving environment. So far, we have loved our four years here.
